With the fall of flu season, many retailers are preparing to increase sales of flu jab by promoting the vaccine. It has been reported that pharmaceutical stores will be offering special discount to the costumers coming to get flu jabs.

In fact it has emerged that the manufacturers will be manufacturing large number of flu vaccines. At present about 166 million doses are available, which was just 157 million last year. Last year, with the pursuit of avoiding getting in contact with the hazardous swine flu about 41% of the US population took the jabs.

It has been reported that the retailers are attracting large number of customers by offering coupons and discounts for the jabs during their grocery purchase. The World Health Organization has informed that even after getting the jabs one is at the risk of coming in contact with the swine flu. Therefore, it is necessary for one to get the jabs every year.

When it comes to getting the flu vaccine, often a person thinks of the health problems it may cause. But nobody has to think twice before getting the jabs except the expecting mothers. It has been informed that the pregnant women are at the highest risk of succumbing to death because of the flu vaccine. However, the unborn baby is protected for life if the vaccination is taken by its mother during pregnancy.
