People living with autism possess almost all characteristics and attributes that are essential to achieve excellence in the field of software testing. Intense focus, comfort with repetition and detailed memory for information are a few of the features that are common among people, autism patients and software testers.
In addition, the study has pinpointed Asperger's syndrome, an easygoing form of autism, and sufferers for their high efficiency with computers and claimed that their intelligence level varies, normal to high.
These facts influenced the management of a recently emerging company, Aspiritech, has decided to appoint skillful adults living with autism to fill the positions of software testers. The founders of the unique company, Moshe and Brenda Weitzberg, have notified that their son forced to leave his job because of Asperger's syndrome. Presently, he is also a part of workforce at Aspiritech.
An expert from the University of Missouri's Disability Policy and Studies office, Scott Standifer, who is serving as an organizer of a national conference on adult suffering autism and employment, said the actual number of unemployed youngsters living with autism is not known and said: "There have been a couple of attempts in the U. S. and Aspiritech is the one that's making it".
