TalkTalk Group is the most complained about telecommunications firm in the UK, a fresh report prepared by telecoms watchdog Ofcom revealed.
According to the report, TalkTalk topped the list of most complained about telecoms firms for both landline telephones as well as fixed broadband services during April and June this year, with 0.8 complaints per 1,000 customers.
Ofcom prepared the report after looking at all the consumer complaints filed with it during the concerned quarter and ranking the firms on the basis of the numbers of complaints in proportion of their customer base.
The complaints league for mobile services was topped by 3UK. At 0.14 complaints per 1,000 customers, 3UK was found to be the most complained about telecoms firm for mobile services. The regulator said the rise in the number of complaints against 3UK was partly driven by complaints related to customer service issues and disputed charges.
When contacted, 3UK assured that the company was taking all complaints seriously and would make efforts to improve their services. A spokesperson for 3UK said, "We are disappointed by these figures and we will work with Ofcom to better understand what is driving them."
O2 emerged as the least complained about mobile phone operator over the same period, with just 0.02 complaints per one thousand customers.
