Work Environment of Expecting Mums Can Impact Life of Unborn Babies

Work-EnvironmentA recent study has found that work environment can play vital role in triggering asthma-related problems in unborn baby. The study was conducted by the researchers of School of Public Health.

The researchers recruited 43,000 kids under the age group of seven. The working environment of their mothers was also examined by the researchers at the time of study. It was found by the researchers that women who used to work in the lather manufacturers or wooden furniture manufacturers were at the higher risk of giving birth to babies with asthma problems.

During the study it was found that 15.8% of the children out of 43,000 had asthma problems. However, the percentages of women exposed to certain chemicals potential of triggering asthma were higher. It has been informed out of the studied mother, 18.6% mothers worked at unhealthy work environment.

It is for the very first time when researchers found that work environment of mothers can make or mar the health of babies. The researchers are of the view that special working environment should be maintained for the pregnant women so that life of the unborn baby is kept protected in the womb.
