Ford recently announced its plans to roll out two green models, viz. the Ford Fiesta Econetic and the Ford Focus Econetic, in Europe by the mid of next year.
The Ford Fiesta Econetic emits 87 grams of CO2 per kilometer while achieving an impressive mileage of 85.6 miles per gallon, thanks to sophisticated fuel saving technology, including auto start-stop.
The Ford Focus Econetic emits CO2 emissions of 89 grams per kilometer and offers a mileage of 83.1 miles per gallon.
Speaking abut the new cars, Dr. Thilo Seibert of Ford Europe said, "The Focus and Fiesta Econetic technology will deliver stunning fuel economy and still be fun to drive."
It is the first lean NOx absorbing technology in a diesel version of the Ford Focus Econetic that enabled the vehicle to deliver the record low CO2 emissions.
