It seems that the popularity of desk job is going to fade away soon, as a recent research claimed that if a person spends long time sitting then the risk of dying get escalated.
The conclusion was made after over 200,000 men and women in NSW were questioned on the same and it was found that there exists a link between long working hours and risk of dying.
It was told that sitting for over 10 hours a day could escalate the risk of dying by 48% as compared to others. Though it has been known for a long time that having an active lifestyle involving physical workout could do wonders to boost health, it has come to knowledge that sedentary life style has their own set of concerns attached.
"Your highest risk is if you don't do any physical activity and you sit a lot of the day", said Adrian Bauman, of the University of Sydney's school of public health, who has worked on the study.
By including regular hours of physical activity in daily routine, a lot of side effects or health concerns could be negated in the very first go.
While the research is being given the much deserved attention, it's being claimed that sitting job could shell out a lot from life lest healthy practices are not being included.
