Potential owners of Sony's PlayStation Vita will not be able to use the console's 3G connection to download the files that exceeds the size of 20MB.
In an interview with Japanese magazine ASCII, a Sony executive confirmed that the company's upcoming PlayStation Vita gaming console would have 3G download limits of up to 20MB.
The unnamed Sony representative didn't confirm whether a similar limit would also be introduced when the handheld would be released in North America and Europe.
However, the representative stressed that the limits would remain in force for sometime at launch, and they could changed in the future.
The PlayStation Vita will have proprietary memory cards that will be specific to the console. It means that the device would not be compatible with Sony products like its PSP and digital cameras as well as any other future devices.
The PlayStation Vita will hit Japanese store-shelves on 17th of December, while US stores will get the handheld in early 2012.
