In a recent survey, the sad condition in which the homeless and the less fortunate people have to live in was revealed. It was further added that most of these people have mental health issues due to stunted growth, no nutritious food and stressed conditions of life.
With the growing instability in the world economy, there are many people who have to live below the line of poverty. This has called for many people being deprived of the basic necessities in life, also making them socially crippled. This takes toll on their mental health as well, and most homeless people have some or the other form of mental issue.
"It is clear that homeless people suffer high rates of poor physical and mental health", said Niamh Randall from Simon's National Research centre. It was further said that there are essential steps that need to be taken by the authorities to make the people of the world a little less poor, inflation rates need to be curbed and charity programs need to be launched in order to make bring down the poverty levels and stabilize the living conditions of the poor, to give them a mentally stable life.
