It has been proposed that changes are required to be made so that better communication could be established between companies with NMEs up for review, and the agency.

Meanwhile, FDA informed on Friday that the health sector has been witnessing an acute shortage of essential drugs for saving lives. The FDA said that it is for the very first time when it has witnessed such huge shortage.

It has been informed that because of quality concerns the drugs are being delayed. The shortage of drugs is mainly impacting the cancer patients. Because of the shortage, medical staff is forced to give them substitute drugs.

Efforts are being, made towards ensuring the health of the patients. The FDA has urged the drug manufacturers to speed up the production as the shortage of drugs is posing potential risk to the critical patients.
