Lack of Sleep Can Slice Off Your Memory

Lack of Sleep Can Slice Off Your MemoryAccording to researchers from Michigan State University, it is very important to have good sleep during night hours; otherwise memory of an individual could be affected in varying ways. Though they have not yet been able to understand the link between both the aspects, they stated that there exist varying effects of short sleep over memory.

As noticed by the U. S. National Sleep Foundation, around 63% of Americans do not take proper sleep.

As told by lead researcher Kimberly Fenn, who is an Assistant Professor of Psychology: "We speculate that we may be investigating a separate form of memory, distinct from traditional memory systems".

He also told during a conference that during sleep, our brain continues dealing with several kinds of information. And, this might have an impact over his memory when he is awake.

For conducting the study, around 250 people were analyzed and told to have complete sleep in night. As a result, it was found that most of them had been gifted with noticeable enrichment in memory. At the same time, there was no change at all for some people.
