A flu vaccination drive will be organized on October 12 and 28 at the Covington County Health Department .The vaccination will be available from 8 a. m. until 5 p. m., for all those who were 6 months and above in age.
Flu affects the respiratory system of the human body and vaccination is the best way to avoid the infection, reveal the Centers for Disease Control. Also, the state health authorities reveal that maximum number of people died due to flu rather than disease that do not have any protection vaccination against it. The authorities have priced each flu vaccination for $5, the people who have Medicaid, Medicare, SEIB or PEEHIP insurance will not be charged for the vaccination.
Also, the University of New Hampshire conducted the yearly vaccination program against flu. The university wanted to immunize the students against the seasonal flu. The university charged $25 to the students for one dosage of vaccine and those students who paid health fees were given a concession of $5 on each vaccination.
According to Julia Stevens, community health nurse and wellness educator at Health Services, students were highly vulnerable to flu because the students generally suffered from problems like sleep deprivation and stress.
