Google's eBook store, which provides access to hundreds of thousands of ebooks from major publishing houses like Hachette, Random House, Penguin, is now available in the UK.
The service, which is already available in the US, will allow Brits across different devises like smartphones, tablets, PC and e-readers, to choose ebooks from as many as twenty different subjects and genres.
The Google eBook store will also provide users with free access to more than two million public domain titles, such as Moby Dick and Jane Eyre.
Speaking on the launch of the new eBook store, Google's Jason Hanley said, "We've been working with publishers for some time to build new online revenue sources for writers and publishers, and this is the next step in that direction."
Hanley added that the new service would provide publishers with an open platform to sell their books, while booksellers would get an easy-to-implement way to sell digital books.
The first Google eBook store was launched in the US in December last year. Canada and Australia are also expected to get Google eBook stores soon.
