Equipped with US hip hop star Dr. Dre's Beats Audio technology and striking hardware and software specs, the HTC Sensation XL smartphone is slated for an early November release.
The Sensation XL features a Gorilla glass-made WVGA touchscreen that offers a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Measuring at 4.7-inch, the screen is considerably larger than that of the Sensation XE's 4.3-inch screen.
The device has an 8MP photo snapper that has a wide-angle lens and is accompanied by a dual LED flash, and can shoot high-definition videos in 720p. For video calling, there is also a 1.3MP camera at the front.
While the Sensation XE got a dual-core processor, the Sensation XL's Qualcomm MSM8255 1.5GHz processor is single-core. The XE has a somewhat smaller battery (1600mAh), which allowed the new handset to shed some weight and thickness. The 132.5mm tall & 70.7mm wide-XL is 1.4mm thinner than the XE.
The list of other important features of the XL includes its HTC Sense 3.5, 16GB of internal memory and 768MB of RAM. The battery provides power for 250-710 minutes of talk-time on a GSM network.
