Sales of Cannabis at Coffee Shop under ScannerIt has been reported that from today the Netherland authorities will be keeping a close tab over the activities taking place at coffee shops where legal cannabis is sold. On Friday, a decision over reclassifying of cannabis was taken. As per the decision the cannabis will be categorized as strong drug as it has been found that it contains more than 15% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

There are many cannabis products which are being sold to the customers. The authorities concerned have warned the coffee shop owners to keep a close a tab over the levels of THC as it may cause health disorders.

A report complied to understand the impact of cannabis over people says, “Extensive epidemiological research supports the view, in particular, that strong cannabis used during adolescence is a serious risk factor in the development of psychotic disorders and dependency”.

The impact of the decision will be seen over 700 coffee shop owner. It has been informed by the coffee shop owners that they would be required to change their 80% of stock. Critical over the decision by the Christian Democrats, the coffee shop owners said that the politicians are always in look for the substances which they could ban.
