Throwing more light on the issue, the Mental Health commission’s Chairman, Dr. Edmond O’Dea, on the eve of World Mental Health Day accounted that the current monetary problems have certainly as added more difficulties among those people who were already suffering from numerous health hazards.
In the meantime, he continued to say that the financially viable difficulties certainly lead the government to delay all the essential investment procedures to be done in the mental health services.
He added, "When we call for investment in mental health we are usually calling on the government to invest the funding required to develop modern community-based services”.
On the other hand, the Commission officials recommend that all the citizens, who were suffering from the stress, should immediately consult their doctors and should visit the nearby GP centers to get some quick solutions to their problems.
