Reports have confirmed about the arrest of two people, who are believed to be involved in a theft case. It was earlier reported that a gang of seven people on mopeds and motorcycles barged into an Apple shop and robbed devices, including iPads, around 1am.
As the complaint reached the police, an inquiry was kick started and all those who witnessed the robbery were being quizzed to decipher the identity of thieves. Moreover, it has been confirmed by the police that all the involved people had covered their face with masks and that's the reason that their whereabouts are difficult to Zero in on.
After getting a clue from close sources and basis of the information given, officers in Islington reported to have found a moped in St John Street, Clerkenwell, central London, which could have been used in the crime.
However, two suspected people, a 16 years old boy and a 21 years old man, have been detained on serious charges, though police is still looking for others.
The same has been confirmed by DS Nathan Tozer of Westminster CID, as he said, "Although two men are in custody on suspicion of burglary, the inquiry continues and other persons are sought".
Apparently, the exact value of the robbery is yet to be ascertained, though it could reach somewhere in thousands of pounds.
Furthermore, the police has called for general people to share any related information on 101. In case callers want to keep their identity under covers, they can call on 0800 555 111.
