The compact and efficient Chevrolet Aveo supermini will hit UK showrooms in January next year with an entry-level price tag of £9,995, the renowned carmaker confirmed.
The all-new Aveo will be available in four engine and three trim levels, viz. LS, LT and LTZ. The entry-level LS model features remote locking system, a CD-stereo radio, a rear spoiler, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, and electric front windows.
The LT model, which has been priced at £10,995, adds 15-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, steering wheel-mounted controls, a four-way adjustable driver's seat, a trip computer and Bluetooth.
The top-end LTZ model starts at £12,195, and comes equipped with automatic headlights, a leather steering wheel, fog lamps, rear parking sensors, along with standard features.
LTZ models have only been made available with the 94bhp 1.3-litre diesel engine or 100bhp 1.4-litre petrol unit.
Chevrolet is also offering an LT Ecodiesel variant that claims to have carbon emissions of merely 95g per kilometer, and costs £12,795.
Chevrolet UK Managing Director Mark Terry said the new Aveo is strikingly bold and has an attitude.
