Older Women Fancy More Sex, Claims Study

Older Women Fancy More Sex, Claims StudyMaking an immensely interesting disclosure, a recent study has claimed that older women have extra craving for sex.

The study, which was based on data collected from the Women's Health Initiative, which is extremely popular for its exploration of the consequences of hormone treatment on women after going through menopause, focused on the levels of sexual activeness among 27,347 women.

Researchers claimed that in excess of 60% of women, between 50 and 59 years-of-age, were sexually more active. In addition, nearly 50% of women between 60 and 69 years-of-age and more than one-third of women in their 70s were found sexually active.

The researchers further claimed that almost two-thirds of respondents said that they are extremely pleased with their existing sexual activity. Though there were many women who were disgruntled by their existing sexual activity, they were still yearning for more and more sex.

The study, which has been made available in the journal “Menopause”, revealed that “lack of partner” plays vital role in increasing sexual activity in women. In addition, the study further claimed that factors like interest and health issues plays no role in increasing sexual activity among women.

The study finally asserted that reduction in the level of hormones during menopause need not impede the ability of women to continue satisfactory sex life.
