A recent study has revealed that with growing age, the sexual desires of women increase. This is contrary to what was being assumed for a long while. It was previously believed that with the passage of time and as a woman gets older, she wants to have less sex than earlier. This study has proved that women want more sex as they age, especially if they are in a committed marriage.
A survey revealed that 57% older women want to have more sex. This has been revealed according to the study conducted on as many as 27,000 women between the age group of 55-79. It was found that a lot of women want to have more sex as they age while only a very few prefer less. Sex drives are in full swing for women who have a stable partner they have been with for a long time.
“We know sexual activity decreases with age, and we do attribute that to lack of a partner, but we thought that women were kind of happy with this. That it didn’t represent a major problem”, said Dr. Wolf Klein, an expert. Even though sexual drives decrease with menopause, it does not mean women become less affectionate. They still need to be fondled and caressed and made love to, according to the statistics in the study.
The aim of the study was to find out the risks included in conducting hormone replacement therapy on women after their menopausal stage has passed.
