Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently available only to pre-order, but is has started topping charts.
Set to be released in next month, Modern Warfare 3 has been topping the Steam sales charts for the last three consecutive weeks, prompting analysts to predict that it will give tougher competition to Battlefield 3 than earlier expected.
It may be noted here that Modern Warfare 3 is not available on Electronic Arts’ personal store Origin, where Battlefield 3 will perpetually be topping sales charts.
As per the BF3 Blog, first person shooter game Modern Warfare 3 could sell as many as twenty million copies in the running year alone.
The normal price of the upcoming game is $59.99, but online retailer Newegg is accepting pre-order for the game for just $47.99 from users who post a promotion code ‘EMCYTZT832’ at checkout.
Modern Warfare 3 will be released for Sony’s PlayStation 3, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and PC on 8th of November in North America.
