Forza Motorsport 4 sold around 700 more copies than FIFA 12 in the very first week of its launch, capturing the top spot in the UK all-platforms top 10 chart.
Figures revealed by tracking firm GFK Chart-Track, Turn 10 Studio and Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 4’s first week sales figure represented the biggest UK launch for a racing title in the history of Xbox 360.
Electronics Arts’ FIFA 12 grabbed the second spot, while Ubisoft’s Just Dance 3 secured the third spot. But, more than 90 per cent of Just Dance 3’s sales went to the Wii version.
Bethesda’s Rage came in at fourth position, while FIFA rival Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 from Konami secured fifth spot.
Other titles placed among the top ten include Microsoft’s Gears of War 3, Namco Bandai’s Dark Souls, 505 Games’ Zumba Fitness and Codemasters’ F1 2011.
The only other debut title to secure a place in the top ten is Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge. It secured the tenth spot in the UK sales chart.
