New Plymouth without Fluorinated Water

New Plymouth without Fluorinated WaterIt seems that the New Plymouth district of New Zealand would gift its next generation, the decayed teeth as it has been ruled out that the district would not have fluoride in their water.

Opposition was against the measure to include fluoridation program in the district, and number of meetings were of no help. They were not even affected by the opinion of the World Health Organization, which supported the inclusion of fluoride.

Appropriate amount of fluoride is necessary to keep teeth in good shape, and even it acts as a shield for teeth. The Ministry of Health is not happy with the decision, and was of the view that the exclusion would prove to be costly for New Plymouth district natives. Chief Dental Officer, Dr. Robyn Haisman stated that one thing that would now continue as a part of legacy would be decayed teeth in the district.

Dental experts are of the view that ‘water fluoridation’ is one of the economic ways to keep teeth safe and strong and it also prevents tooth to get infected with germ. If a person regularly uses fluorinated water, he could prevent majority of tooth decay, and it won’t be wrong to term it ‘repair kit’.

Even dentists were of the opinion that if a person from starting is habitual to use fluorinated water, then it is very likely that he would suffer from any oral problem.

Need to have fluorinated water got increased when it was found that New Zealand has major tooth decay problem. But some found to a measure to spoil teeth, and for that doctors and other medical experts have mentioned again and again that fluoride in limit is healthy for teeth.
