Want to make your feet strong, start walking bare foot. Experts were of the view that there is whole set off training that makes a person able to walk bare foot for miles.
Michael Sandler, who is a Colorado-based running and walking expert, was of the view that one should not start travelling bare foot for long distance as feet are not habituated to strong surface, and it takes time for feet to get adjusted to hard surface. Therefore, Michael suggested that one should start walking bare foot by covering small distances, like say 100 yards would be enough for first couple of days, then an addition of another 100 yards would be sufficient, and like that one could increase the distance. Only problem in walking bare foot is ‘scarcity of patience’, as it takes long time to get habituated to walk on hard surface.
Giving a simple example, Michael said that babies are asked to walk bare feet so their feet gets stronger, therefore, one could witness babies walking without shoes.
Michael, who has been in this profession for last two decades, was of the view that he met with an accident, and lost all hopes to walk on his foot, but bare foot techniques helped him to stand gain on his legs. Just walking with shoes takes time, like that walking without shoes also takes time.
Often, Michael comes across people who ask him whether if they could wear minimalistic shoes like ballet flats, tai chi shoes and moccasins; he has only one answer that wearing them would give them temporary relief, and in reality, they are more difficult to walk with. Sandler concluded by saying that barefoot walking is fun, one must try it at least for once.
