Indeed a hardest day for any women to hear that she has breast cancer and the case of the longtime E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic was no different. It was told that the 36-year-old host of “E! News” and on the E! Network came to know about the shocking news when she went for a mammogram done before heading for IVF treatment. World seems to have ended for the popular TV star who was told that she has a breast cancer, though at early stage.
If the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is to be heard, women under 40 need not have to go for screening in case they are going for IVF, but it appears that she was lucky enough to know that she had early stage breast cancer. This news must be a warning signal for women under 40 to get themselves checked before it’s too late.
It was told that she was recommended by her doctor to go for a mammogram to ensure that there is not even a feeble possibility of getting diagnosed with breast cancer as she was about to go through third round of fertility treatment.
"I wasn't prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I'd been told. I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong”, she said, while claiming that the news was hard too hard to accept.
As of now, the couple has put down the IVF treatment aside. It has been further confirmed that a surgery would be conducted on Rancic this week followed by a radiation therapy for a period of six weeks.
Though it’s hard for the duo to get through the tough face, they are not letting it affect their plans to start a family as they would resume the IVF as soon as Rancic would be fine.
