The increasing problem of obesity has been again highlighted by the Yale University's food policy researcher. The professor argued that until the regional authorities will announce high taxes on all the junk food products, the obesity problem will not end.
Soon after the call, the Fiji’s interim Government declared that soon the Denmark region premises would be implementing fat tax.
However, this was not the first time that the junk food disadvantages have been spotlighted by the researchers, as earlier also many health studies proved that eating excessive junk food was the only reason behind the swiftly increased obesity problems across the globe.
Moreover along with the obesity problems, the extra calorie containing food certainly caused several critical health tribulations. Dr. Kelly Brownell was not the only one to make the tax increase call, as many other renowned health leaders coming from the all over Pacific regions too committed to take a strict action on rolling the increased obesity rates.
Throwing some more details about the planned action plans, Dr. Brownell accounted that they would be highlighting two major issues related with the unhealthy food which contain excessive for with levels of sugar, fat and salt. He further commented that he and many health experts across the globe strongly believed that the increased junk food taxes would be the best tool to tackle the swiftly increasing fatness problems.
He added, “It tastes really good and it acts on the brain in such a way that it keeps us wanting more of it. Plus the foods are the ones most heavily marketed by the industry because these are foods that people over-consume”.
On the other hand, many previous studies, conducted by American and Spanish scientists, proved that just because of these dangerous fats, healthy young men certainly damage their sperm and end up infertile.
