US Scientists Link Sweet Tooth to Human NatureHave you ever thought about any possible relation between over indulgence in sweets with that of a person's nature? A recent study done by US scientists indicates the same. It has been confirmed that those who are fond of gorging on sweet are easy to please as compared to others.

Even the belief has been substantiated by a research team from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, St. Xavier University in Chicago and North Dakota State University, who believed that people who have strong inclination for sweets are eager to extend help to others.

'It is striking that helpful and friendly people are considered 'sweet' because taste would seem to have little in common with personality or behavior", said Brian Meiers, a psychology professor at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, while claiming that sweets stimulate positive attitude in people.

This probably for the first time that taste has been considered to an extent that it could decide on the personality trait once could have. Though behavioral angle was confirmed, there are reports which indicate that those who have sweet tooth were found to have a pleasant disposition. Even when the sample group was made to comment about the pictures of people having normal facial expressions, it was found that a majority of them would have pleasing nature, which could have been triggered from their inclination towards sweets over other non-sugar coated items.

Published in the Journal of Personality Social Psychology, this comprehensive research has tried to establish some sort of link between likeability for sweetness and person's nature.

As the research is being given the deserved attention, it would be interesting to see will it able to answer how these traits are indicative of what a person is doing in day to day life.
