“Baby Brain” Myth Debunked

Baby-BrainThe "baby brain" myth has been reportedly debunked by the researchers as they have discovered through their intense studies and surveys that pregnancy or the mothering of a new born baby did not affect the ability to think in women in any way.

The studies proved that the mental ability of women did not waver for mothers, non - mothers and also the expectant mothers and there are absolutely no possibilities of having memory problems in the short term. This problem is also referred to as "placenta brain" in addition to the "baby brain".

Although there are a few limits to the cognitive speed during the later stages of pregnancy, it is very clear that it was nothing permanent and such normal lapses occur to even apparently healthy people who are not pregnant.

Women face physical and emotional stress during pregnancy and it makes a woman feel more tired than usual. As it is obvious that both men and women tend to lose concentration and track of things when tired, women too function less effectively than usual due to the stress factor and they are advised to take a lot of rest as they definitely deserve it.
