"Lumineyes" Permanent Alternative to Replace Colored Contact Lenses

Contact-Lenses"Lumineyes" is the latest treatment that makes use of a laser for eradicating a brown colored pigment named as melanin from the upper layer of the iris in order to enable the blue color to replace, most probably within two to three weeks after the procedure, claimed an expert, Dr. Gregg Homer, from a clinical equipment company based in California, Stroma Medical.

In addition, Dr. Gregg Homer marked the treatment as better option to replace colored contact lenses as it is an irreversible process because the melanin will not grow back. While briefing the grounds for eye color, the expert notified that brown colored eyes are most common and they are likely to have the layer of the pigment at the front portion of the eye.

On the other hand, the majority of people with attractive blue eyes have concentrated melanin in the backward region of their iris as compared to people with brown eyes, and therefore their eyes tends to reflect shorter wavelength of light and absorbs the longer wavelengths.

While applauding the latest invention, Dr. Homer notified that the needed operation will be available at a reasonable rate of £3,000, most probably within upcoming 18 months. "A blue eye is not opaque, you can see deeply into it, while a brown eye is very opaque. I think there is something very meaningful about this idea of having open windows to the soul”, he notified, while appearing for an interview with media persons. However, the clinical trials for the treatment are not complete up till now.

On the other hand, the Chief Executive Officer of the Stroma Medical, Doug Daniels has claimed that more than nineteen million people make use of colored contact lenses.
