God creates lives and without his permission, no one’s life can ruin just like that. This is what is confirmed from the incident that happened recently in a hospital in south China.
Four medical workers of the hospital for mistakenly diagnosing a stillbirth and disposing of a baby that was alive, state press said on Friday.
Mrs. Liu Dongmei, eight months pregnant woman, was immediately rushed to a hospital in her region, when she complained of stomach cramps. Soon the medical professionals noticed that the pregnant lady had internal bleeding as well along with stomach cramps.
She was immediately operated and the baby was given an emergency birth but upon noticing that it’s a still birth as the baby didn’t breathe or cried when it came out, also his skin turned purple, the officials thought that the baby is dead and the medical team soon disposed of the child without even following proper hospital procedures, the report said.
But when pregnant lady’s sister-in-law urged the authorities to let her see the body of the baby (around 30 minutes after birth), she noticed that the yellow plastic bag that has been handed over to her containing the infant’s body felt some movement. Soon, they found that the baby is still alive and it was mistakenly claimed dead.
She was further shocked to notice that it was a baby boy and not a girl as they were told by the hospital staff.
“I opened the plastic bag and saw the baby's hands and feet moving, the stomach was going up and down and air bubbles were coming out of his mouth”, the Foshan News, a local website quoted her as saying.
An investigation is ongoing into the incident of October 26 at the Nanhai Red Cross Hospital in Foshan city, the Beijing News confirmed.
