Death of an involuntarily mental health patient in Kalgoorlie has severely troubled her family and many more people in the region, who in every condition have asked the medical facility (which treated the victim post her accident) to answer over her death.
Here we are talking about the 48 year old mental health patient, who absconded her premises when she was allowed to go out and have a cigarette. After which, she unfortunately met an accident with a train in Kalgoorlie.
The body of the 48 year old women was discovered by some people lying close to the railway tracks in Kalgoorlie on Sunday. She was immediately run to the hospital and was strictly urged by her relatives to be kept under constant supervision.
Yesterday, Mr. Stephen Rule, the brother of the dead woman said that the death of the lady has severely devastated the entire family and they will in no manner leave the authorities unanswered. “We're angry at (the hospital) for not listening to us, when we had told them she needed supervision. We want to make sure this doesn't happen to any other patients at any other hospital. We want to see better security at the hospital”, he added in his statement.
Shadow Mental Health Minister Mr. Ljiljanna Ravlich has consoled the ruined family by saying that a full investigation will be followed into the incident to get out some clear and firm truths as what caused the death of the lady and to what extent the hospital is involved in the incidence of death.
Dead woman’s daughter Ms. Charlene Cooper is depressed with her mother’s death and urges the authorities to seek all the related facts at the earliest possible.
