As per reports, dentists from all over the world are giving a round of applause for the Labour Party for making a potential promise of conducting an independent investigation on fluoridation of drinking water.
Commenting on the issue, the Labour on Wednesday, during its health policy launch, asserted that if they are chosen as the government, then they would certainly hold an independent inquiry with a view to developing a national policy on fluoridation as a national dental health measure.
Moreover, David Crum, the Dental Association Executive Director accounted that the party obviously recognizes the significance of fluoridation and the hidden knowledge behind it.
He added that currently only half of New Zealanders have right to use to fluoridated water, which was the chief source behind the tooth decay prevention.
Along with all these statements, the Labour also marked that they would be granting an amount of $2.6 billion on their plan related to child poverty, which was commenced this month. The plan included the free of cost dental care check-ups for both the kids and to the pregnant women.
Talking more about these plans, Grant Robertson, Labour's Health Spokesman stated that the Labour further decides to financially support the primary dental care services for adults, but the plan would be brought to implementation only if the party wins the election.
He added, "The National government has underfunded health in the last two budgets and with budgets coming under increasing pressure, smart, co-ordinate thinking is required across government to bring down health inequalities and ensure New Zealanders remain healthier for longer".
On the other hand, an official from the Nurses Organization, Susanne Trim, as well supports the Labour’s, pledged to drop the damage caused by alcohol drinking as they affirmed that the health workers would surely observe some important impact on the daily mistreatment on their working lives.
