Orange Base Hospital Accused Of Ignoring Essential Note About Patient’s HealthOrange Base Hospital has attracted criticism from all over medical critics over the death of 12 years old boy, who had rare heart condition. The boy has been identified as Joshua Kane Donelly. The boy was brought to the hospital on the 23rd of June, 2010, after receiving attack while taking bath in his home in Cargo.

It has been alleged that the medical authorities of the hospital failed to understand the essential notes written over the health record of the boy. The boy had Long QT Syndrome, a fatal genetic heart condition.

The boy was discharged from the hospital right after two days of his stay. The Coroner Terence Lucas criticized the hospital's authority saying, "It is the opinion of this court that on the presented symptoms, Joshua should not have been discharged".

The grieved father of Joshua, Mr. Donelly, said that hospital lacks in staff and bedding. The boy would have survived if the doctors have understood the essential notes on his health record. It has been informed that Long QT Syndrome together with kidney disorder led to his early demise.

Mr. Donelly noted that the Orange Base Hospital not working as health care provider rather it is working like an entrepreneur. Its staffs are overloaded with work. The alleged hospital has in past as well attracted criticism as its staff has been alleged of causing negligence and mistake.

An investigation over the death of the boy has revealed that the boy was provided with adequate and effective emergency treatment by his family GP Dr. Nicholas O'Ryan. Dr. Nicholas O'Ryan referred him to the Orange Base Hospital.

However, the hospital authorities failed to provide him with timely care. The court is yet to take decision over the punishable act of the hospital.
