Chocolate is one of the most popular edible products that are already known to have enough potential of tempting people of all ages. Besides children, a majority of people tempt to munch chocolate in form of snack while performing various day-to-day activities or even while working at office.
Consequently, researchers from the University of Exeter have carried out a latest research in order to explore the measures that can play a role to control the unhealthy habit, and they concluded that leisurely walk, even just for 15 minutes, can significantly affected the habit of snacking on chocolate by around 50%.
In addition, the scientists have also insisted that a majority of workers have expressed very least eagerness for munching a chocolate under stressful situations. Before suggesting the findings, the experts carefully analyzed more than 78 chocolate-eaters who were believed to have chocolate almost every day. Afterwards, they called all the subjects for their involvement in a simulated work environment, probably after two days of self-denial from chocolate.
"We often feel that these snacks give us an energy boost, or help us deal with the stress of our jobs, including boredom. People often find it difficult to cut down on their daily treats", explained the lead study author, Professor Adrian Taylor, an expert from the University of Exeter, while warning against the consequences of high calorie foods such as chocolate. During the study, the experts observed that the habit can result in significant weight gain.
In addition, the study authors applauded the exercising attributes for imparting significant benefits on mood swings as well as on energy levels, though experts recommended having snacks during work for boosting energy in order to deal with the job stress.
