Recent reports revealed that a man was trapped in his car, after he had met with an accident, when his car slammed and hit a tree placed in the northeast area of Melbourne. It was added that the man was in his 20s and the accident occurred in Toolangi, on the Healesville- Kinglake Road.
The man was rushed to the hospital by paramedics that reached the scene after about half an hour. It was revealed that the man has suffered injuries in the abdomen and the chest. Though the man was conscious while his rescue operation, he was hurt and in need of immediate medical help. H was taken to the hospital by paramedics from Ringwood and Healesville in a helicopter.
It was further revealed by the paramedics that "the driver was talking to us throughout the rescue operation"."Due to the chest injuries we had to insert a large needle into both sides of his chest to help reinflate his lungs and improve his blooding".
He was then taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition. He hitch is that the man had to wait for about 45 minutes before help could reach him, and this must've caused the injury to worsen and his condition go further downhill, due to the long wait.
The injuries he incurred included a fracture in the leg, as well as extensive chest and abdomen injuries. Besides the injuries the trauma of an accident is enough to keep one in shock for weeks.
His condition was critical when he was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and is now recovering from his injuries. His family was informed as well.
