Malt Whisky Bottle Sets New Record at Auction, Hammered at £44,000

Malt Whisky Bottle Sets New Record at Auction, Hammered at £44,000It has recently been revealed that a rare bottle of malt whisky has been sold for a massive £44,000.

The reason for this huge price tag on it is that it is a rare 55-year-old whisky, and this is why it has been able to garner such a huge sum of money at an auction.

The name of the whisky is Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve and it has been able to garner a huge sum of money, because it is one of the finest old malt blends, which is much loved by alcohol lovers. This s the first time a single bottle of malt whisky has fetched that huge amount of money. The last time a he amount was paid for the same was when a malt whisky bottle had fetched £30,000.

It was revealed that this auction saw the release of the first 11 bottles of the 1955 bled, in order to honor Ms. Janet Sheed Roberts, who is the granddaughter of Mr. William Grant, the founder of the Glenfiddich distillery.

It was further added that Mrs. Roberts is the oldest living person in Scotland. The auction had been held for charity, and the proceeds of the same shall be forwarded to WaterAid charity.

People’s love for the finest oldest, richest blends is nothing new. It has been seen over the years that people like to go for the oldest wines and other forms of alcohol. This is because the older it gets, the better it tastes and the more effect it has.

The new record however for a bottle of malt whisky has now been set, and this is something that the distillery would be very proud of.

Serving the most savored blends of whisky to the world is an art, and they have mastery in it.
