In a shocking report, it has traces of cocaine have been identified in more than nine out of 10 baby-changing units in the North West, which has once again brought out the issue of cocaine used among Britons. There are reports that indicated that cocaine use has been on high in Britain in the last few years and that is what has made it clear that there is lot to be done to bring down the rate.
The facilities in public toilets in shopping centres, hospitals, police stations, courts and churches were checked by the team from local station Real Radio North West and it was found that there is glaring rise in traces of cocaine there. There has been a lot said about the side effects of cocaine and that’s what has been now become a worrying point for the government also. There were many victims of cocaine interviewed as part of the investigation to gauge the impact of cocaine on them and their families.
"I have seen people fall by the wayside that have misused drugs and you have to get the message across that this is something that is incredibly damaging to their lives”, said Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham, who is of the view that there is dire need to make youth understand the enormity of cocaine usage which as of now is being overlooked by one and all.
There is widespread nexus of people who are selling cocaine to others, thereby putting the life of others at risk. There is need to limit the use of addictive substance so that the damaging effects of cocaine could be reduced to the best possible level.
It has been known the UK was tagged as the cocaine capital of Europe, and even now, there is no considerable difference in the status with nearly 5% have used it over the last year.
