NHS Efforts Regarding Sexual Health: Report

ReportIt seems like changing sex partners has become a trend of today, especially for males.

According to figures revealed from the findings of a new research, men in the region are claiming to have changed more sexual partners during their lifetime as compared to women in the region.

The findings have come from the Health Survey for England, which found that men have reported experiencing sex with 9.3 different partners on an average, whereas women admitted to have changed 4.7 partners.

Rather quarter of the total women participated in the research said that they had been involved sexually with only one partner during their lifetime opposite 17% men, who claimed the same truth.

The poll included approximately 14,000 people. The findings of the research have been published by the NHS Information Centre. Other facts that came out from the research were: a quarter of women accepted that they had sex even below the legal age of consent, 60% women said that they didn’t always use contraception while performing the activity.

The figures are really hard to be believed, but this could be a possibility that citing such troubling figures is prompting health officials to urge more people in North East to pay attention towards their sexual health, especially during the festive season ahead, confirms Health Reporter Ms. Helen Rae.

The NHS is putting in its best efforts to serve the purpose by making more people learn about the inappropriate sexual activities that could result into Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and pregnancies, which do not even stop for Christmas.

Moreover, NHS is also offering a range of local sexual health services to support local people including local clinics serving with contraception, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections like Chlamydia, free condom supplies, etc.
