The Macworld Conference and Expo 2010 is all set to kick-start on Tuesday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. There would, however, be no official Apple appearance. So while the fans will be treated to all flavors of Apple, there would be no official participation of the company.
Despite the fact that the event will not have Steve Jobs delivering the keynote speech and there would be no product unveilings, about 250 vendors from across the country would be showcasing Apple-related merchandise at the convention. In addition, some important members of the Apple community will be delivering speeches.
In all, an estimated 30,000 Apple fans would be gathering at the Macworld Expo 10.
"The really important thing with Macworld is that it’s popular, and it’s one of the last bastions where just a regular old user can come, go shopping and go to conference sessions. Macworld in the absence of Apple becomes a fan fest", said Paul Kent, International Data Group’s General Manager of Macworld Expo 2010.
