Her newborn Leah Bear was born at 12:01 am, the first born in the Tampa Bay area as well and Jenna Bear was born 11:59 pm on Saturday, the last baby born on earth in 2011. So, both the babies are unique in distinctive manners.
Both are doing well and had health weights when delivered. Leah was 6 pounds, 4 ounces and Jenna was 6 pounds, 15 ounces. Congratulating the mother, Tampa General Spokesperson Ellen Fiss said babies are born every day but somehow, the newborns on New Year are said to bring good luck not only for the family, but also at the place where it gets born. So, they are expecting progress this year.
Hospitals are so much in to this tradition that they even indulge in friendly competitions that which hospital would deliver first baby of New Year. Nurses of respective hospital are found to be investigating that they do not lag behind in the race.
