Panasonic has announced that it is going to launch two new high-definition camcorders, shortly. One is the hard-drive-based HDC-HS700 (240GB) and other is the flash-storage-based HDC-TM700 (32GB).
Each of them would be equipped with three low-light-optimized live MOS sensors and the ability to record 1080p video at 60 frames per second.
Both camcorders will support operation via a flip-out 3-inch LCD touchscreen. They will also have an eye-level electronic viewfinder.
The new camcorders would produce strong color reproduction, high resolution, rich gradation, which will let the user capture vividly colored images in bright or darkly lit places.
The two high-end camcorders would also offer manual controls for focus, aperture, shutter speed, and zoom. Other remarkable features in the camcorders are optical image stabilization, intelligent auto shooting mode, and a setting that automatically snaps a still image during video recording when an on-camera subject smiles.
Each microphone in the camcorders will be able to capture the audio, independently, and a ‘wind noise canceler’ feature analyzes the audio track and strips out noise caused by breezy conditions.
The price of the new camcorders has not been announced by Panasonic as of now. But as per the pricing on last year's high-end Panasonic HDC-HS100, the cost for each will probably be somewhere in the $1300 range.
