Man Severely Injured in Pasta Machine AccidentIn a tragic mishap, a man from Tauranga received severe arm injuries after his arm got stuck in a dough-mixing pasta machine at an Italian restaurant called Volare. This restaurant worker, 25, waited for at least two hours before he was taken to the emergency department of Tauranga hospital.

Till that time, fire and ambulance workers tried to find a way by which they could free his arm. But, every attempt failed and they had to detach that portion of the machine which was still attached to the man's arm. Then, they took him to Tauranga hospital with along with that portion.

After some time, the man was shifted from the emergency department to the orthopedic unit where he had to undergo surgery. Doctors said that he his arm has been severely bruised and all bones of his arm have broken.

The man acted bravely as he remained quite throughout the suffering. Police Inspector Ben Offner informed that they were called by the employees of the restaurant. After coming to the place, they tried to free the man but were not able to free him. They then immediately called ambulance officials who also tried their best, but failed to remove the hand struck in the machine.

Finally after two hours of struggle, they took him to the hospital where his was operated. Offner said they are investigating the place to know what exactly happened. He further affirmed that he could not believe that such places could be so accidental.
