It has been recently revealed that those babies who are breastfed tend to cry more. The experts are of the view that new mothers should be warned about this sort of behavior from the children. The Medical Research Council team is of the view that the children who are breast fed might tend to be more cranky and irritable.
It was further said however that breast milk is still best for them. Even though the tinned milks might tend to pacify children and keep them happy, breast milk s actually the elixir for the child. The parents need to be patient and caring towards the needs of the baby and should do what is actually right for them, and not what can keep them temporarily happy.
It has been revealed by the Department of Health that mothers in the UK tend to start breast feeding but the levels soon drop. They are advised to breastfeed their children for a period of 6 months at least. This is the time the baby can receive all the necessary nutrition for its growth and development and can become strong and healthy.
One of the most common reasons why women tend to switch to canned milks is because they believe that breast milk wasn’t enough for the baby’s nutrition. While they actually see that their child is crying and irritable, they tend to believe that it didn’t receive proper nutrition.
"Mothers and babies may experience starting to breastfeed as demanding or stressful in this society where bottle-feeding is seen as the norm and breastfeeding is unfamiliar to many new parents”, said Rossie Dodds, from the National Childbirth Trust.
It is essential that children are given breast milk and they are given proper nutrition in their crucial growing months.
