Foetus Parties Display "Commercialisation" of Pregnancy, Says Top Midwife

FoetusAs per recent reports, it has been revealed that the Chief Executive of Royal College of Midwives, Prof. Cathy Warwick, has recently claimed that a large number of women are now having greater aspirations and expectations regarding childbirth.

However, she has warned all those who went on a high for the sake of rejoicing about their pregnancy, which she disparaged as "WAG" or "yummy mummy" parenting that could most probably require an extra bit of counseling in case something goes faulty ahead of the childbirth.

She was of the opinion that the diagnostic scans are almost always deemed as "entertainment", which had always been “a far cry from their original purpose”. On the other hand, a plenty of private companies were living life in the lap of luxury by providing a "VIP" schemes for something around £185.

Earlier in 2009, Wayne Rooney, the famous soccer star, and his wife Coleen gave £300 for hiring a 4D ultrasound scanning machine, tempting over friends and family members which were up for a grand party. Later, she delivered a healthy baby and named him Kai.

But still, While expressing his views regarding the issue, Prof. Warwick asserted that: “I think the worrying trend towards the commercialization of pregnancy and trend in 'foetus parties' can add to the burden and can increase the expectation for mothers which midwives then have to deal with”.

There is a lot of apprehension over the point that diagnostic scans are now readily being employed for the purpose of entertainment. All over the country, the services meant for 'foetus parties' are increasing at the velocity of knots as many firms are effortlessly providing gifts for parties that feature pictures of the foetus.
