The London Bike Show is magnetizing eyeballs of bike lovers, media persons as well as myriad people from all over the planet. The all new 5.7 Carbon from Pivot, which has the similar 145mm (5.7'') of travel as offered by its aluminum sibling but shaves slightly in excess of 200 grams, is one of the most recent and the most popular presentation offered in the London Bike Show 2012. The bike has got this fabulous feat after the company decided to make a switch in the frame material used in the rocking vehicle. And now, its total frame weight rest at an averred 5.2lbs. Some other highlights of the vehicle include a tapered headtube, 12x142mm thru-axle ear along with a plenty of frame protection provided by the means of a molded rubber segment on both the chainstay as well as on the downtube.
Apart from Pivot's showcase, an updated and upgraded geo was sported by the Rose Beefcake, with the model featuring a 64 degree head angle which must surely make it highly DH friendly.
The bike reportedly uses specifications of a race team, counting the ultra-exotic Carbocage chain guide.
Another beautiful inclusion was made by Saracen that had on display Manon Carpenter's Myst, the bike she rode during her glorious race of 2011 Junior Downhill World Champs; she ended up winning the event.
There were plenty of other cool bikes to watch, wonder, and admire. But still, the show was stolen by Pivot's vehicle which, apart from the above mentioned mesmerizing and breathtaking features, was also displaying a beautiful steel hardtail, beautiful design curves, and more.
The Carbon is indeed a mega-magnificent bike that looks cool, sports cool features like tapered headtube along with interchangeable dropouts which will make it easier for you to fit a variety of axle options, and is clearly a great piece to have for any bike facinate.
