It has been reported that an anonymous group has claimed to have hacked the FBI and US Department of Justice websites. This particular group has also clamed of having targeted the websites of film and music companies.
The claims were made on the twitter accounts. Due to the mischievous activities of the cyber hackers, the FBI page was almost blank saying that the site can’t be reached. These days, the cyber crime has increased quite significantly.
There are some who believes that the cyber criminals are attacking the sites of the government as the government in the past announced the shutting down of the fire-sharing website Megaupload.com. It has been informed that mischievous group is publishing the personal details of ministers' family and of authorities.
The alleged websites was closed down by the Congress to support anti-piracy legislation. While agitating against the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA) the Wikipedia shut down its English pages, on Wednesday.
Google has also protested against the proposed bill. It is necessary for the government to take stern action against the increased menace of cyber crime. With the advancements in the technology, the cases of cyber crime have also increased.
If soon nothing is done to deal with the case then the increased cases of cyber crime would halter the progress and development of the country. There are many countries whose security is at risk because of the increased international cyber crimes.
Hacking is a crime, if it is done with the pursuit of causing trouble to other, many gaming sites and bank sites have experienced hacking which has affected their business and also the life of the users or customers.
