It has been recently revealed that Nokia might be under some sort of pressure from the UK networks, for lowering the costs of the Lumia series phone 710. This might be because it is much above the market prices of other smart phones of the same category.
The firm was of the view that this phone is a more pocket-friendly version of the Windows Phone 7. It seems to be however much highly priced that the other phones of the same feature and class.
A report by the Financial Times was of the view that because the sales of the phone didn’t seem to meet the firm’s expectations, there might be price drop announced. Many experts were however proved wrong when the quarterly sales of the phone were said to be going strong enough.
The phone is packed with a host of new and improvised features. This might probably be the reason for a high price tag on it. The firm however believes that the phone is extremely viable in terms of price and quality.
The other phone firms are coming up with phones with new features, at the least p0rces possible. This seems to make the Lumia look a little too pricy. It is essential that the firm takes the prices down a nudge and promotes sales of their phone better, so that people get to know more about the newest features available in it.
The firm needs to keep the pricing right, so that it can run a fair chance in the competition lined up. There is need for effective pricing by the firm, so that the phone can be made available for people who want to buy it, but are in second thoughts, because it being so pricy.
