HIV Phobia in China is Only Prostitute Guilt

HIV-Phobia-ChinaChinese are threatened by a new mysterious disease having HIV-like symptoms. But doctors say that their illness might be the result of the guilt of having sex with prostitutes calling it 'HIV phobia'.

The Chinese authorities have been charged of covering up epidemics like SARS virus in the past. Now there is a collapse between the medical profession and patients because of HIV phobia. HIV tests coming back negative, is the main reason of many patients for suspecting the doctors.

A person told that he has been observing a change since he had sex with female prostitute. Though he is not HIV positive, yet twenty-four hours later he had a strong desire to vomit out and headache. He had a feeling that his internal organs were swelling up and he had severe pain. Even after the several tests he had not been found HIV positive.

China's Centre for Disease Control tested a huge group of 60 patients, last month.

Dr. Cai Weiping is a senior Chinese HIV researcher, who described it 'HIV phobia' said, "A real HIV sufferer may take 15 minutes to deal with. A patient with the phobia can take at least an hour, or as much as half a day of arguing before they go away."

It might be physical or mental; the consequence of this state is distressing for the patients.
