Adscend Media has been accused of spamming the users of social networking sites through various deceiving tricks. The allegations have been imposed by Facebook, the social media giant. It has been alleged by the Facebook that the Adscend places the posts on the Facebook which are infected.
It has further been informed that the posts on the Facebook take users on other sites through the links attached to it. Adscend is not only facing lawsuit filed by the Facebook, but is also facing a similar allegation imposed by Washington State, a marketing firm.
However, all the allegations have been declined by the Adscend Media. The lead litigation counsel of Facebook, Craig Clark said: "Facebook's security professionals have made tremendous strides against this particular form of attack and we are intent on eradicating it completely".
It has been alleged by the Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna that the Adscend Media through its unpopular strategies have raised $20 million in just one year. Following the allegations, Adscend was not immediately available for the comments.
It has further been alleged by the Facebook that the Adscend Media is posting the scandalous links which asks users to verify their age. In one post, a link was attached to it which opened up the page showing the salacious video of someone's ex-girlfriend.
It is not sure if the Adscend Media is fully aware of the allegations imposed on it. Moreover, there are many clients of the Adscend Media which are unaware of the allegations. Facebook has promised of dealing with the case as soon as possible. In the past as well, Facebook had come up with the many privacy-related issues. And now, the scandalous links have further placed it in a tight position.
