YouTube’s Space Lab Competition Finals to See Contestants from IndiaIt has been recently unveiled in a report that Indian students showed their hidden talent on getting an opportunity in a YouTube Space Lab competition. It is being said that it was a platform for the future scientists to prove themselves.

The report says that students from different countries participated in the competition, and it was anticipated that Indian students would hold the second last place at the PISA. It was found by the findings of the report that 40% entries were made from India, which was the maximum amongst all other countries that participated.

As per the report's findings, there were two categories of participants: one of students aged 14-16 years and the other category was for students aged 14-16 years. All the participants had to submit a video that described their science experiment to be performed in space. The participants were thousands in number, and had come from more than 80 nations to participate in the competition organized by YouTube, Lenovo and Space Adventures.

It has been found that group of Indian students proved itself, and held the second largest position next to the ones from the US. There were 10 finalists selected from the US, after which 9 were from India. On being asked how it feels on being there at the top, one student from Delhi said, "It feels amazing when people around you congratulate you and show interest in what you have done or accomplished. Even this interview right now makes me feel awesome, its spell bounding to see your hard work paying off".

Further, it has been revealed that the final winners would be declared in the month of February by the YouTube community headed with a panel of judges, including Professor Stephen Hawking and William Gerstenmaier from NASA, JAXA Astronaut Akihiko Hoshide, and ESA Astronaut Frank De Winne.
