MegaUpload Might Be Formatted Soon

MegaUpload Might Be Formatted SoonIt has been recently revealed in a report that the data at MegaUpload might soon be erased. The report might prove to be worrying for those people who have been using MegaUpload for the storage of their business files back up data.

It was revealed by a press report that the US Attorney from Eastern District of Virginia has ordered that the files from the cyberspace of the company be deleted. It was after a major piracy case was lodged against the firm.

The assets of the firm have already been sealed by the government authorities, and the firm has been shut down as well. The banks accounts of the company have also been frozen. It shall no longer be able to pay the firms such as Cogent and Carpathia for the services rendered by them.

It was revealed by the government that though some of the information from the site had been copied from the servers, it hasn’t been deleted or removed from them. There have now been legal search warrants passed against the firm, and this means that no part of the information would be available for access for anyone. This shall sure mean losses for the firms dealing with this piracy-struck company.

“We're cautiously optimistic at this point that--because the United States, as well as MegaUpload, should have a common desire to protect consumers--this type of agreement will get done”, said MegaUpload attorney Ira Rothken.

There is need for effective steps to be taken by these government authorities so that the people who had invested with MegaUpload get their data back in some way, and don’t have to bear heavy losses in the times ahead.
